Motor Controller Unit [MCU] Model CS-MCU-01 is an outdoor unit and works on the principle of varying the speed of a three phase Induction Motor by varying the supply frequency to the motor.
The MCU for different applications is custom built to suit Drive System requirements.
The unit works on 230 volts AC input and contains two AC Frequency Variable Drives, one each for AZ & EL Motor. As an option for control of small Antenna, only one AC Frequency Variable Drive for both AZ & EL is used.
The AC Frequency Drives convert the Single phase input into Three phace 230 V AC to drive the 3 phase Motor of each axis alternatively. The Drives accept speed and direction logic Commands from the Antenna Control Unit when MCU is set to operate in Remote Mode.
The Motor Controller is also provided with a Local Control Panel with the facility to operate the Antenna & Feed locally.
